F**k number plates, the good old days of racing

surtees1960usgpReally, the good old days? Well in this case it was, as judging by this photograph it wasn't that much of a fuss driving a formula 1 car through traffic on public roads. It was 'only' 50 years ago when John Surtees did just that in his Lotus-Climax to get to the 1960s United States Grand Prix at Riverside, California to do the race. Imagine the looks he must've got! From the same racing weekend there is a photo of Maurice Trintignant driving his Cooper-Maserati formula one car on a californian highway, just click read more you won't be disappointed.

Multimedia: Historic Zandvoort Trophy 2010

A few weeks ago we attended the "State of Art Historische Zandvoort Trophy" at the Zandvoort circuit in the Netherlands. Goodwood's looking for stickers

Car stickers for Goodwood's annual Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival have become a regular sight over the years, placed in the rear windows of motor sport enthusiasts vehicles. This year, motorists displaying the Goodwood motor sport event stickers in their cars may have their enthusiasm rewarded with the chance of winning tickets to the Festival of Speed and/or Revival if their vehicle is spotted. So put one on yer window and wait for the one chance in a million.

ADAC Eiffelrennen 2008

The ADAC Eiffelrennen at the Nürburgring marked the end of this year's GTC-TC racing season. After a promising start of the season at the Jim Clark Revival at the Hockenheimring, the GTC-TC organisation had trouble filling the field for the remainder of the season. At the last round in the Eifel the series had a healthy startgrid with more than 30 entries having a go at each other. Overall winner in both races was Hans Wagner in a BMW M1.

Spa Six Hours 2008

This weekend on of the last historic racing events takes place at Spa, in the wonderful surroundings of the ardennes. We try to keep you posted on the happenings of this event where cars from all kinds of eras make an appearance. Not to mention racing drivers from all kinds of eras. Even Stirling Moss makes an appearance.
